If your family is anything like mine, they love nothing more than celebrating significant moments with food. When it came time to celebrate the end of my degree for example, we went to Spirit House.
This restaurant is located in tranquil tropical gardens in Yandina, Queensland. Although it is quite a long drive if you’re travelling from North Brisbane, the wait is well worth the incredible atmosphere and of course… the food!
Due to going out for dinner, the environment surrounding the restaurant was rather dark so I couldn’t take in its full beauty. However the sounds of the water moving in the pond, the chirps of birds and other animals as well as the breeze and candle lit tables gave me sure promise that during the day, the lush gardens would not dissappoint.
Their cuisine is contemporary Thai and their menu is designed with the intention that you will want to share the dining experience with your companions. And to be truthful, with so many meal options available you will want to try as many as you can!
We all decided to trust the menu and order a banquet, and there were no regrets. Nine tantalising dishes later, we knew we made the right decision. Here are some visuals of Spirit House has to offer to satisfy your curiosity…
After the scallops we also had Red Curry of Crispy Duck with Snake Beans, Pineapple and Lychees, however that was eaten before I was able to take a photo.
Unfortunately I can’t remember the exact ingredients of the final two desserts, but both were equally delicious and appealing to the senses. The very bottom photo was my personal dessert choice. From memory it was Soy and consisted of nitrogen ice-cream, and chocolate mousse.
After every single meal we were left wow’ed and it was hard to choose a favourite. So if you can appreciate taking your tastebuds on a terrific Thai adventure, I would most certainly recommend Spirit House to anyone who doesn’t mind the travel or the bill.
Thank you all for popping by.
Until next time…
